| Svelte 30 Recall - OTC Diet Pills Contain Banned Ingredient |
|
Svelte 30 has recalled their product from the market because of the banned ingredient Sibutramine/Meridia found in it. Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) tested Svelte orange and gray capsule in January 2011 and the capsules found to be positive of Sibutramine/Meridia. Sibutramine/Meridia is an ingredient common found in diet pills but recently banned due to cardiovascular risk. Major countries around the world has banned this ingredient after long term study that show the risk outweigh the benefit. The company complied with the FDA request and has voluntarily stopped distribution of the product, which was sold directly to customers from the Kissimmee sales office. No Illnesses or injuries have been reported to the company to date in connection with this product. Source: http://www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/ucm244393.htm
