Diet Pills, How Do They Work?

As previously said in familiarize with diet pills article that diet pills is an aid to help you in controlling your calorie intake. If you still think that diet pill is a quick fix for your weight loss problem then read again the article.

There are four types on how diet pills work: fat blocker, carb blocker, appetite suppressant, and also metabolism booster. Each has its own uniqueness on helping you deal with calorie.

Fat blocker, just like the name it can block some of the fat from being digested and thus less fat stored in your body. Bad fat or also known as trans fat is one of the main cause that makes people fat. Trans fat is hard to burn, you need twice the exercise to burn fat than to burn carbohydrate and so reducing the fat that is absorbed by your body mean less calorie to burn. Read more about fat blocker.

Carb blocker has the same principle as fat blocker only this time it will block the carb instead of fat. The foods we consume mostly contain carb and by using this kind of effect then most of the food calorie that you would normally absorb is reduced. However, the fat in the food still be fully absorbed by your body and you still have to burn that fat. Read more about carb blocker.

Appetite suppressant, eat this kind of diet pill and it will make you feel full until the effect is gone. If you having trouble losing weight because you feel hungry all the time then this is probably the best diet pill for you. Read more about appetite suppressant.

Metabolism booster, this is the kind that doesn’t control your calorie intake but it improve your body so it would burn more calorie than usual. If you like to exercise and you want maximize the weight loss effect then this could be the one for you. Read more about metabolism booster.

There is also the kind that mixes those four into one pill, a fat blocker pill but also it can suppress your appetite or fat blocker with metabolism booster. KYDP staff however has doubt that this kind of pill would have maximum effect… We believe that either one of the effects is stronger or all the effect is too small to take effect.

Diet pills come in two forms: prescription pill and over-the-counter pill.

Prescription pill are the kind that is only available with doctor prescription. This kind of pill is carefully regulated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and their use is closely watched by the prescribing doctor.

Why do prescription diet pill has to have doctor approval? It’s because the pill has strong dose in it, it can block your fat intake or suppress your appetite much stronger and because it is a strong drug, the chance of having serious side effect is also high. Prescription pill is only used for desperate obese people when the risk of getting sick from overweight is much more concerning than getting the side effect from the drug.

Over-the-counter (OTC) pill is the kind that you can buy without having to have doctor prescription. You can buy it in the local drugstore, supermarket, or a trusted website. Over-the-counter pill is still on FDA watchful eye, watching any new dangerous ingredient or fake OTC pill.

The difference between prescription and OTC is in the strength of the pill. OTC has less dramatic effect on blocking fat, blocking carb, suppressing appetite or boosting metabolism but it is a lot safer than the prescription one.

Take example of Orlistat (One of the ingredient for fat blocker), Xenical is the prescription pill and Alli is the OTC pill where Alli only has half the amount of Orlistat than Xenical. Because Xenical use more Olrlistat than Allli then Xenical can block fat more effectively than Alli but it is also much more dangerous.
